RTR: Where the Gifts of God are Exercised, Equipped, and Honored
“What does Apostolic even mean?” many say.
And more than sharing a simple or overcomplicated definition with you, we will share testimony.
Apostolic means sending not sitting. It means YOU are welcomed into our community, crusades, and rallies and celebrated for who you are and what you carry, but we will ALSO bless you and release you to run into the world and share it, but more importantly, share Jesus, the one who made you and gave you the gifts in the first place.
We are a people who believe in God over gifts, yet understand that when wielded well they share the glory of God to the world.
7 years ago, I (Tabatha Haines) could find no one in this area to talk about the 5-fold gifts with, except my closest family and friends, who were forced to hear my constant chatter about these elusive and what seemed like extinct ones of Ephesians 4.
Yet, here we are 7 years later, where 5-fold is still not the talk of our town exaclty, but it is a topic that is in revival, as people begin to understand that to mature and become like Jesus… we have to mature and become like Jesus…. Therefore, the need for these 5 functions is being made evident.
Jesus the Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher/Rabbi. His life shared these effectively and perfectly with His broken and resurrected body and His Holy Spirit given in that upper room showing that His work would go on… through His people.
Last night, we welcomed a Prophet into our midst at RTR Culpeper.
The Prophets' reward was received, to hear the Father’s voice.
The Prophet, very much neglected, rejected and misunderstood, but one of the most beautiful, powerful, and simple still.
Those saved by Calvary’s Cross become children, and children are made to know their father’s voice.
It is the simplest of inheritances to the saints, and the scriptures tell us to desire to hear His voice and share it with others (prophecy). His living and life giving words spoken to us and through us. What a gift!
And to take it further and say Prophets EXIST… TODAY… Well, that will ruffle some feathers, but whether you acknowledge it or not, there are Prophets among you.
Those who burn with the Word of the Lord inside their bones. Those who point, poke, and prod at the hearts and systems of the world to call them to Kingdom order.
Justice burns in their eyes and hearts and they long for people to understand the Father's voice, His will, His way, His Heart.
They bring council and correction, these harbingers of the Kingdom. His voice in their voice, released to those who are brave enough to listen, receive, and change course accordingly if need be.
We welcome the prophetic and the Prophets at Release the Runners. We decree that our city and our region will know and follow the voice of God! Amen.
We welcome the prophetic acts to be done, and the modern day locusts and honey aka the otherworldly nature of those who live at a level so few of us will ever get to see, unless… We accept the beautiful invitation from God and these burning ones to come up higher, to see and hear… THE GOD WHO STILL SPEAKS.
